Irish Stew

Ingredients:
2-3l bs beef steak
1/2 pound carrots
2 Med onion
1 large turnup
4 lbs potatoes
1 table spoon salt
2 table spoon pepper
3 pinches of summer savory
1 cube of butter

Preparation:
Cut carrots , onion , pototes , turnup and meat into 2-3 inch cubes. In a large cooking pot on top of stove place butter in bottom of pot and turn heat on low. Add onions while butter melts. Add meat to pot-stirring until brown all over. Now add the carrots, the turnup and the pototes. Fill the pot with boiling water so it just covers everything. Add your salt and pepper and bring everything to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for a hour. While everything is simmering, add the summer savory into the pot and stir mixture every 20 minutes. Serve hot or warm.
